Title: Melting Point Author: strangeandcharm Characters: Sam, Dean/Castiel Rating: NC-17 Word count: 4,000 Summary: After Dean is badly injured on a hunt, Castiel proves just how far he’ll go to look after him – and beyond. Notes: Angst, h/c (both boys) and the promise of some hot sex to come. I’ve been dying to write some Dean/Castiel from the second Castiel appeared. Then this whumpy “short” story kinda got away from me and became this. Hope you enjoy! The epic love story of Dean and Castiel told in 110,000 words. Stuffed to the brim with angel!porn, whump, angst, action, wing!porn and occasional soppiness, and Sam doesn’t get neglected either. (Although he doesn’t partake in the angel!porn, I should probably add.) Some of it’s really, really dark (with non-con), so be prepared for that if you’re just looking for a little schmoop. This fic is VERY dark in some places, but in others it is just…perfect, there are all kinds of love and porn involved and it is honestly my favourite, there were lots of tears (happy and sad) and the ending is fucking wonderful. The plot is so full on you’ll feel as though it’s canon. Was one of the first verse’s I read, and even after all the fic I’ve read since remains my favourite.
Title: Kissing It Bitter Author: strangeandcharm Characters: Dean/Castiel, Sam Rating: NC-17 Word count: 14,300 Summary: Castiel is afflicted, and Dean has a very difficult choice to make. Notes: Okay, so this contains (in no particular order): angst, h/c, porniliciousness (including the merest hint of non-con), dark themes (including some religious imagery) and Uriel being a bit of a bastard. It was supposed to be a short, whumpy fic and ended up as a freakin’ monster. Set a few weeks after 4.10, so obvious spoilers for episodes up until then (also, please don’t spoil me for future episodes in the comments - thanks!). It’s in two parts because it’s so big; the link’s at the bottom. Ever get the feeling the universe is trying to tell you something? This was originally a one-off in which I wanted Dean to save Castiel. And then Castiel ended up reciprocating, and then Lilith got involved, and, well, this happened. Contains much sexin’ and some violence… but, yeah, mainly sexin’. This is essentially an elongated fuck or die with a twist. It is spectacular though, in all the right ways. I love the humor, the appropriate amount of angst and internal turmoil Dean suffers through, and well…the sex is amazingly hot.
Title: The Day the World Went Away Author: pyjamagurl Fandom/Genre: Supernatural. Time travel, future-fic, with some domestic-fic and case-fic leanings. Pairing(s): Dean/Cas, Sam/Sarah, and references to past Dean/Lisa Rating: NC-17 Word Count: 59, 658 Warnings: Based post 5x22, Contains potential S6 Spoilers, eventual smut. Falling/fallen-Cas. Summary: After being reunited with Sam and leaving Lisa, Dean is finding that adjusting back into the hunting lifestyle is harder than he thought it would be. When a particular hunt goes badly, he gets knocked out, only to awaken five years in the future. Things are definitely different; Castiel is a hunter, Sam is married and Ok, never previously one for time travel fic, this completely blew me away. Again one of the first fics I ever read and remains in the top 5. The Sam and Cas in this are to fucking die for (which I love because often in fics from Deans perspective the other characters aren’t developed as well). This story is original, angsty in a good away and fucking beautiful. Also can I say how happy I am that Destiel writers love Trent Reznor as much as I do! fucking win.
Title: Right Place, Right Time Author:the_new_thing Rating: NC-17 Genre and/or Pairing: High School AU, Dean/Cas, Sam/Gabriel (main), initially Sam/Cas and Dean/Gabriel Spoilers: Warnings: Fairly graphic sex; brief discussion of previous child abuse (non-sexual); sex between two teenagers that are below the age of consent in some states (both are seventeen). Word Count: Summary: When Sam brings his new boyfriend, Castiel, home to meet Dean, Dean is expecting the usual: to hate Castiel and to have to give him the “older brother” speech. What he discovers when he meets Cas is a hell of a lot different. Meanwhile, Sam struggles with maintaining a passing grade in chemistry, a relationship with his closest friend, and his confusing feelings regarding Cas’ older brother, Gabriel. Dare I say it…this is my favourite Destiel highschool AU. As much as I love many others (and I do) this one has a twist to the plot, wonderful character building and the UST and forbidden love between Dean and Castiel is so delicious. 300 things is the panaltimate in the college AU genre yes, but this fic hits the romcom kink in me and I love it.
Title:Peanut Butter-Pumpkin Wedding Cake Author: sparseparsley Rating: NC-17 Genre/Pairing: Total AU, Romantic Comedy, Dean/Cas Wordcount: 31k total Spoilers: None Warnings: Sex, movie cliches Summary: The good ones are sometimes assholes and always taken. (Dean is the bartender looking after Anna on her Hens night. When the groom to be arrives and turns out to be the most stunning man on the planet (is he flirting?) Dean is pretty sure life is out to get him. When that same groom to be is out the front of the bar in the morning with car troubles Dean is fucking positive it is. Speaking of romcom kink. THIS. Everything about this, and then this some more. Read it, if you haven’t already. It’s sweet, funny, well built, and the reader has an insight into the story the characters don’t and it makes the whole thing even sweeter.
Title: This is Not Convenient Author: CloudyJenn Pairings: Dean/Castiel Rating: R Word Count: 11,330 Warnings: Language Summary: If Castiel doesn’t find a mate soon, the council will assign him one. And Dean’s not about to let that happen. This is the ultimate soul bonding/accidental marriage fic of them all. Profound bond all over the place and in the way that you would imagine it (if it were canon). The development of Dean and Castiels relationship is great, the exploration of the bond, the different ways that Cas and Dean need/view intimacy and the humor is just wonderful. This fic is beautiful and schmoopy and has my favourite line of any fic ever in it (if you’ve followed me a while you know what it is)
